Adventures in the Office / An Hour to Kill
May 25, 2010
I pulled my first all nighter last night at Moxie. Well sort of... At eleven thirty I started to render an animation and so for the next hour my computer crunched out numbers while I had nothing to do. Fortunately the studio has all sorts of toys. For example the pictures you see were taken with a Nikon D2Xs. It is a $6,000 camera so I was a bit nervous handling it.
I guess this is my first official tour to the world of the studio. On every wall is at least one taxidermided animal, an anatomical diagram, or a tribal mask. The Foosball table is a unique Bonzini that gets spun every day at five thirty.
The skeleton you see once belonged to a bluebill and the horse used to be a horse. Imagine that! Around the studio I think there are twenty old fashioned typewriters, hundreds of design magazines and thousands of books. That may be an exaggeration, but the progression was nice.
If you are in Boulder then you should stop by and I'll give you a tour of the rest of my office. You'll get to see the two bathrooms and a full pantry. If you're Matt Van Noy then you can hang out in the server room as much as you'd like!
